Refugee Resettlement Support in Germany
Beneficiary: Newly Arrived Refugee Families
About this campaign
Forty families — 160 people, including 68 children — arrived in Berlin in the past six months, fleeing conflict in Sudan and Syria. They have been granted asylum and placed in housing, but they arrive with nothing and face enormous barriers: no German language skills, no professional network, no household basics.
This campaign will fund: intensive German language classes for adults (6 months); vocational training and CV workshops; essential household starter kits (bedding, cookware, children's school supplies); and a community integration programme pairing each family with a local volunteer mentor.
The programme is run by Caritas Berlin, one of Germany's largest social welfare organisations, with 30 years of refugee support experience.
A new country is a second chance. Help these families take it.
